Here is one of my favourite tracks from You, The Devil + Me, the long-awaited new album from The Notwist. It’s indicative of the album: there’s hope in the sadness, though I soon noticed that even the more rousing sections still have deceptively bleak lyrics. Quite a departure from the warming glow of Neon Golden.
By the way, despite the sadness, it’s well worth investing the extra quid in the special edition of You… as it comes with a beautiful illustrated book. The website is well worth spending some time with too - if you like that sort of thing.
